What is Blues, Brews & Barbecue?

Blues, Brews & Barbecue is a music, food and brew festival that takes place in Downtown Allentown. This is our 11th Annual Festival. With six stages of music and over 85 food and craft vendors, this year is sure to be the best yet!

When is Blues, Brews & Barbecue?

The festival will take place on Saturday, June 9th from 12 noon to 10 p.m. but stick around after the final performance as there will be late night sets at the Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works (Fillet of Soul), Queen City BBQ (The Groove Merchants), The Hamilton Kitchen (Acoustic Pursuit), and Centro (Package)

Where is Blues, Brews & Barbecue?

The event will take place on Hamilton Street in Downtown Allentown between 9th Street to 5th Streets in the, 500, 600, 700 and 800 blocks of Hamilton Street. In addition to Hamilton Street, 6th, 7th street and 8th street will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Is there admission?

This is a free event and is open to the public.


Tickets for beer and wine may be purchased at 5 locations. The cost is $5 per ticket. You may also purchase the commemorative mug for an additional $10. (The 24 oz. mug is insulated and holds 6 more oz. of beer!)


We encourage guests to park in one of our many downtown parking garages. There is $3 parking available at The Arena Deck, The Spiral Deck and the Transportation Deck all on Linden Street! Cash upon entry. This is the best price. Click here for more information.

Is there a cost to park?

Three downtown parking garages will be offering an event rate of $3 for your whole stay!  The Arena Deck, The Spiral Deck and the Transportation Deck all located on Linden Street will be accepting cash payments of $3 during the day.

Food and Beverage:

We have over 34 food vendors participating in this year’s festival with plenty of options to choose from. We have barbecue vendors from across the region and a variety of other tasty options. Beer, wine and mead is only available with tickets. (Must be 21 and over.)

What happens if it rains?

The festival is rain or shine – and the sun will be shining!

What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash is the preferred method of payment with most of the vendors; however beer and wine tickets may be purchased with any major credit card. The individual vendors may also be able to accept credit cards, but each is different.

Is there an ATM?

BB&T has an ATM located at 9th and Hamilton streets in their branch. There is also a Wells Fargo ATM at 7th and Hamilton in the Wells Fargo building.

What is there to do?

Eat as much barbecue as you can consume, listen to amazing blues musicians and have yourself a beer (or two)! With six stages of music there is always someone to listen to.

Is there a schedule of bands and other performances?

The music lineup is available at the information tent.

Can I bring my dog or other pet?

As long as they are leashed and friendly J Blues tends to get a little crowded – please keep that in mind!

Are there restrooms?

Portable toilets will be set up in the Farr Lot behind the PPL Plaza stage, on Hall Street in the 700 Block, and Church Street in the 600 Block. Restrooms are also available to customers in many of the downtown establishments.

Can we bring food and beverage into the festival?

No, please purchase from our vast array of vendors.

Is the festival accessible for guests with disabilities?

Yes. Each parking garage has handicap accessible parking and the event takes place on a relatively flat surface.
